How to Apply

Holy Trinity Applicaiton Process

Applying to Holy Trinity takes several steps and includes an admissions evaluation process. But don’t worry, we are here to walk you through the process so that your family has the best opportunity to become a part of the Holy Trinity School community.

STEP 1: Visit Us

Schedule a school tour or attend one of our Open Houses to visit our campus and meet us.

STEP 2: Apply

To begin your application, create a Blackbaud account using the instructions linked here and then please click the “Apply Online” button when you are ready. This takes you to MySchoolApp where you can complete your application at your own pace.

PLEASE NOTE: There is a $75 application fee due at the time you apply.

STEP 3: Complete Financial Assistance (FACTS) Application

Students entering Kindergarten to Grade 8 are eligible for financial assistance. This step is optional but must be done at the same time as you are submitting the school’s application if you wish to apply for financial assistance. To receive financial assistance, you must complete the online FACTS Financial Assistance Application.

PLEASE NOTE: Holy Trinity School Code = 2537

STEP 4: Complete Application by Submitting ALL Documentation

Each student’s application must include several important documents needed to form a complete application. The exact forms you need to complete will depend upon the grade to which you are applying.

You can check the status of your application and the receipt of these documents through your Blackbaud Account – MySchoolApp Portal on the Application Checklist. Checking your portal profile frequently will let you know what remains missing on your student’s checklist.

The last forms you will need to complete are the Transcript Release Form, which should be submitted to the Admissions Office, and the teacher recommendation forms, which must be submitted by the student’s current school directly to Holy Trinity Admissions. Not doing so can delay moving forward in the Admission Process.

PLEASE NOTE: See all forms in the yellow accordion boxes below; hover over the top plus (+) icon to expand the box labeled “Application Forms”

STEP 5: Applicant Screening/Testing and Shadow Day

Once the application is completed, the Admissions Team will contact you to invite your student to an application testing date. Students are tested on current grade level in relation to the Holy Trinity curriculum level. Students must score at or above grade level to be considered for admission. The Admissions Team will contact you if your student has scored at the appropriate level to invite them for a full day visit in their current grade level.

STEP 6: Admissions Committee Evaluation

The evaluation of the applicant includes tests of academic proficiency administered during the student’s screening/testing date. Admission decisions will be based upon the applicant’s performance on these screenings and tests. Candidates will be evaluated according to their developmental level.

Preschool students must be three years of age by Sept. 1 and fully potty trained by the start of school. Pre-K students must be four years of age and Kindergarten students must be 5 years of age by September 1.

Admission decisions will be based upon:

  • The student’s history in previous schools
  • The student’s academic proficiency administered on screening/testing day
  • Meeting with the family
  • Observations from the student’s shadow day
  • Teacher recommendations

STEP 7: Enrollment

To be considered for the first round of openings, the entire application process must be completed by January 24, 2025. Admission notification is given in March 2025. Enrollment is completed when Admission notification requirements through the Business Office and Admissions Office are completed.

The teacher recommendation form is a confidential form to be given to your child’s teacher/school to complete. A requirement of the admissions process is that your child’s recommendation form needs to be returned  directly to Admissions by your school.  For each applying student, Holy Trinity School will need to receive a “Transcript and Recommendation Release Form” and “Student (Teacher) Recommendation Form(s).” The forms and the instructions for submission can be found by clicking the links below.

Applicants who score at an acceptable level are asked to spend a day at Holy Trinity in a class at their present grade level. Along with the testing and school visit, copies of the applicant’s school records/transcripts and a recommendation by the applicant’s current teachers must be submitted before a final decision is made. Parents will be notified in writing as soon as the decision is made. An Admissions Committee is involved in the decision process. The primary concern in accepting an applicant is that he/she is developmentally ready to handle the expectations of our structured first grade.

Second Through Eighth Grade Testing

The process begins in February by grade level as openings become available. Testing of students entering grades two through eight takes place during a school morning. The session takes approximately two hours. Applicants are evaluated with the appropriate level subject tests and writing exercises.
