Last weekend, a select number of NJHS students attended the National Student Leadership Conference (LEAD) in Washington, D.C. Students collaborated with other student leaders in both middle and high school across the country during an intensive three day conference. In addition to workshops, students also listened to three amazing keynote speakers including former Olympic gold medalist Laurie Hernandez. They ended the conference with a sense of renewed energy and actionable goals in both leadership and future service projects for the HSP campus. High School Prep celebrated its 6th Annual Black History Month Assembly. This year’s theme focused on the 100th anniversary of Black History Month. Our students created 10 posterboards celebrating each decade of Black History since the start (1926) of Black History Month, up to present day. Each poster showcased the advancements in politics, entertainment, and famous firsts of that time period. Students did a wonderful job highlighting all of the success and progress that has been made within the last 100 years! Go #Hawks! #HawkPride#TheBestYou#BlackHistoryMonth... See MoreSee Less
