Counseling Services

At Holy Trinity, we educate the whole child. Alongside robust academics, we nurture social and emotional growth, teaching students to face challenges with a growth mindset, build resilience, and grow in confidence. Wellness is at the heart of who we are.

Every student has access to counseling services in a warm and confidential space because a healthy mind is the foundation for a healthy student.

School counseling services offered at Holy Trinity include:

  • Small Group Counseling

Small group counseling complements and enhances student learning by improving perceptions, attitudes, and behaviors. It provides a safe setting where children, alongside their peers, can increase self-awareness and strengthen cooperation and communication skills. The goal is to prevent future problems by teaching new skills early. Students may be invited to join a group by parent request, teacher, or counselor suggestion, or by their own request.

  • Individual Counseling

The school counselor is available to meet individually with students when their educational success is being affected. These sessions help students build social skills, process feelings, and develop problem-solving strategies. School counselors do not provide therapy or long-term counseling for psychological disorders; however, they are trained to recognize and respond to student mental health needs and crises.

  • Consultations

Consultations are available as needed to help teachers, administrators, and parents develop cooperative strategies that support students’ social-emotional development.

  • Referrals to Outside Resources

School-based counseling is sometimes not enough to fully meet a child’s social-emotional needs. When more intensive support is needed, school counselors can refer families to counseling resources within the community.

Details of the process and requests for meetings can be found in the parent portal for current Holy Trinity families.
