After Head of School Michael S. Mullin announced his retirement after 14 distinguished years with Holy Trinity: An Episcopal School (HT), the Head of School Search Committee, in collaboration with our consultants from RG 175, began diligently working to ensure a thorough and efficient search for our next Head of School.
In March, Hamilton Clark and Marcia Spiller from RG 175 visited HT to gain a deeper understanding of our school and its vibrant community. Following their visit, we distributed a survey to the entire community, seeking input on the search process. We received hundreds of insightful responses, including suggestions for potential candidates. In addition to the surveys, RG 175 conducted interviews with trustees and other key stakeholders.
Based on this visit and the subsequent feedback, Ham and Marcia collaborated with the Search Committee (Committee) to develop a comprehensive school profile and job description, referred to as the Statement of Position. This document beautifully articulates the unique character of HT and attracted significant interest from dozens of candidates.
In late June, the Committee hosted the top-ranked candidates on campus for interviews and tours. Four finalists were selected to return for a final, action-packed day to meet with Holy Trinity’s leadership, faculty, teachers, and students. These visits are designed to give the candidates a thorough understanding of HT and to allow our community to meet and evaluate each candidate.
The Search Committee is delighted to welcome these exceptional candidates to our campus September 29 – October 3, 2024. We strongly encourage your participation in this critical process by meeting the candidates, asking questions, and providing your valuable feedback. This is a pivotal moment for our community, and we are dedicated to fulfilling our fiduciary responsibility in selecting the new Head of Holy Trinity: An Episcopal Day School. Your involvement is essential, and we sincerely appreciate your support.
