Global Science Project
Third Grade students are participating in an international study on seasonal change. Partnering with Journey North Test Gardens, students planted Red Emperor tulips in the fall. Throughout the winter students monitored the bulbs for any signs of sprouting. We are eagerly awaiting the first signs of bulbs sprouting, which should be soon with all the warm weather and rain we have been experiencing! Our findings will be entered into an international long-term data base which is tracking seasonal changes in the Northern Hemisphere. The compilation of data by all test gardens by Journey North will help serve as an indicator of global seasonal change.Students are sharing their findings with schools from all around the globe. Specifically, Holy Trinity students are partnering with Third Graders in South Carolina, comparing findings and learning more about life in another part of our country.
