The process begins in February by grade level as openings become available. Testing of students entering grades two through eight takes place during a school morning. The session takes approximately two hours. Applicants are evaluated with the appropriate level subject tests and writing exercises. The test results must be at an average or above average level in order for the applicant to be considered.
Applicants who score at an acceptable level are asked to spend a day at Holy Trinity in a class at their present grade level. Although a visitor, the applicant is expected to work and participate with the rest of the class. Along with the testing and school visit, copies of the applicant’s school records/transcripts and a recommendation by the applicant’s current teachers must be submitted before a final decision is made. Parents will be notified in writing as soon as the decision is made. An Admissions Committee is involved in the decision process.
